Yeah, most of us do. I suspect that in calmer moments even most of the
folks who've posted here do. It's all just fun, for Pete's sake.

Note to my fellow Gopher fans whining about this: Take it easy on the poor
Cheeseheads, they only know 2 cheers! (For the humor impaired: :-) :-)
:-))

Note to Cheeseheads reading this: I still HATE the Badgers, so you couldn't
expect me to pass up a chance to make the previous comment! :-)

And I'll second what Dave Parter said: there are some Cheeseheads
who are absolute weasels (for lack of a better non-profane term.) Just as
there are Gopher fans who are absolute weasels. But there are a lot of
pretty decent folks in both groups (the fans, not the weasels...) And
I hope to break some bread (Thai food??) with Dave and Co. in Providence.

Now some pseudo-hockey content: I have to hand it to the Badgers. Last year
I was actually *beginning* to feel sorry for them after consistently being
such underachievers. There was no doubt in my mind (not that I'm any
expert) that they were the most talented team in the WCHA last year.
Initially I took great glee in their ability to always mess things up.
But after a while, it became a shame not to have a worthy rival to hate.
When Wisconsin was picked 8th in the preseason coaches poll, I was aghast.
Yes, Wisconsin lost a lot of talent, but I also knew they had lost a lot
of their headcases. The Badgers got off to a slow start but showed a
lot of heart in climbing the ladder in the WCHA. This was NOT the team of
prima donnas we have seen in the Cardinal and White the last few years.

Whew! Saying nice things about the Badgers really took a lot out of me.
Gotta go lie down now...
