BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY -- Junior center Mike Hall has five goals and
six assists for 11 points in his last 10 games including four multiple-point
games.  His 21 points and 11 goals on the season are both single-season bests.
He had 13 goals and 29 points in his first two years combined.
 
FERRIS STATE UNIVERSITY -- Junior defenseman Dwight Parrish has played in 107
straight games for the Bulldogs.  This year, he has three goals and six assists
for nine points, after scoring one goal and 21 points in his first two years.
Four of his nine points this season have come against Western Michigan.
 
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO -- Junior left wing Rob Hutson has a four-
game point- streak heading into this weekend's series at Miami.  During the
streak, he has four goals and four assists for eight points.  He has had seven
multiple-point games in the last 11 games, including four three-point games.
 
LAKE SUPERIOR STATE UNIVERSITY -- Sophomore center Brian Felsner has five goals
and 11 assists for 16 points in his last seven games, with one power play goal,
one shorthanded marker and a plus/minus rating of +13.  On the season, he has
10 multiple-point games including two four-point games.
 
MIAMI UNIVERSITY -- The Redskins have a winning record (15-12-5) despite being
outscored 108-100.  One reason has been strong goaltending (team saves
percentage of .886) and the play of young defensemen:  freshmen Brooke Chateau
(+7), Dan Boyle (8-12-20) and Todd Rohloff (1-5-6) and sophomore Jeff Reid.
 
UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN -- The Wolverines are the sixth CCHA team to win back-to-
back regular season titles in the 24-year history of the league.  Michigan
joins Bowling Green (1977-78 & 1978-79), Northern Michigan (1979-80 & 1980-81),
Bowling Green (1981-82, 1982-83 & 1983-84), Michigan State (1984-85 & 1985-86)
and Michigan State (1988-89 & 1989-90) with back-to-back regular season titles.
 
MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY -- Junior blueliner Bart Vanstaalduinen's eight
points on one goal and seven assists breaks his career single-season best of
seven points set last year.  His one goal ties his career output and his
plus/minus rating this season of +21 is best on the Spartan squad.
 
UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME -- Junior left wing Chris Bales has a seven game point-
streak heading into Friday's game at Michigan State.  During this stretch, he
has one goal and seven assists for eight points.  On the season, Bales has five
goals and seven assists for 12 points while appearing in 18 games.  His five
goals ties his career total, while his 12 points are four shy of his two-year
career total of 16.
 
OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY -- John Markell became the fifth former CCHA player to
become a head coach in the league with his appointment as Buckeye interim head
coach on February 14.  Markell joins Illinois @ Chicago mentor Larry Pedrie
(FSU), Alaska Fairbanks head coach Dave Laurion (UND), former Miami coach Bill
Davidge (OSU), and previous Ohio State coach Jerry Welsh (OSU).
 
WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY -- Senior right wing Brian Gallentine has 11 points
(six goals, five assists) in his last 11 games including two multiple-point
games and a plus/minus rating of +6.  His 32 points and 19 goals are both
single-season bests for Gallentine.  Last year, he had 28 points on 14 goals
and 14 assists.
 
UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA FAIRBANKS -- Sophomore left wing Pat Williams has five
goals and one assist for six points in the last five games with a plus/minus
rating of +4.  This year, he has 16 goals (doubling his total of eight last
year) to lead the Nanooks.  His plus/minus rating of +4 on the year is third
best on the team behind Greg Milles' +8 and and Corey Spring's +7.
 
CCHA - DID YOU KNOW? -- That Bowling Green's Gino Cavallini (in 1984) and Lake
Superior's Mark Vermette (in 1988) both scored the winning goal in overtime at
Lake Placid during an NCAA Championship game and both wore #23.  Cavallini
scored in the fourth overtime to defeat Minnesota-Duluth, while Vermette scored
in the first extra period to upend St. Lawrence.
 
CCHA AWARDS BANQUET-- The annual CCHA Awards Banquet will be held on Friday,
March 17th in the Columbus Grand Ballroom of the Westin Hotel in downtown
Detroit.  Tickets ($25.00 each) will be available for sale in the league office
later this month with a limited number available at the door the night of the
banquet.  Social hour begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner and the program.
