New Hampshire wins the Chicago Showcase.
 
Team New Hampshire beat Massachusetts 4-3 in the finals of the Chicago
Showcase. NH dominated play in the first period as Eric Royal scored the first
of his three unassisted goals at 2:40. Randi Manni (Topher LeClerc) scored at
8:18 to make the score 2-0. Massachusetts played nearly the whole period in
the NH zone and Merrimack bound Matt Adams scored on a power play at 4:32.
 
The furious play continued in the third period. Eric Royal scored again at
1:22 to pu NH ahead 3-1. Sean Perry pulled Mass to 3-2 at 3:18. Eric Royal got
his third goal on a power play at 9:49. Mass didn't slow down and Garett
Naneene (Mike Santonelli) scored at 11:15(/14:00).
 
This showcase tournament gave us in Illinois to see good FAST Eastern hockey.
Mass got to the finals by beating Michigan and NH topped Buffalo in the
semifinals.
 
I understand Matt Adams will be at Merrimack. Are there other players on these
teams who are college bound next year?
