Subject: dead gophers

I read about the tradition of UND students throwing dead gophers
(and badgers) on to the ice after the first Sioux goal vs Minn.
My big question is: where do they all come from? Is there a gopher
market like a fish market? Is there a gopher section of the supermarket?
One or two I can understand but how many are thrown?

Just curious,
BRI

Guess I'm glad my alma mater chose a fictional mascot - I don't think
we'll be seeing any dead River Hawks thrown this season. Just a thought,
too: if Lowell hadn't chose to rename their teams, don't you think it
would've been politically incorrect if anyone threw dead Chiefs on the
ice!! (Or dead Warriors or Engineers for that matter!!!!!!)
