Anybody know offhand if any other coach in college hockey has resigned without
ever holding a practice? I know some of Jeff Jackson's moves were rather
abrupt, but his record ain't 0-0-0 either.

133 days until faceoff in Anchorage...
P. S. Gary Thorne (ESPN) was asked in today's (3 June) McPaper who his pick
was to win the Cup. His answer: "The Rangers. They seem to be a team
of destiny." Like they really needed to ask. All you had to do was
listen to Thorne's announcing to see who HE wants to win the Cup. Every
time a Ranger crosses the Vancouver blue line with the puck, you'd swear
he had just scored the Cup-clinching goal. My only hope is that Capt.
Kirk and the rest of the boys in (unarguably) the ugliest uniforms in
the NHL find a way to shove the puck down Thorne's throat.
Hey, maybe we'll get lucky and Tom Mees will do the games at the Pacific
Coliseum!?! No, my life isn't that charmed....
