Mark asked about how many states have an HS program for ice hockey.
Well, there is one here in NY State. It is fairly big for the schools
that do have hockey programs and especially big up here in the North
Country. It's no where near as huge as the ones in MN or Mass. The problem
being that it's a HS-only tournament and often the top seniors end up
in prep school. But, the Divisions I and II final four (sue me :) are
held every March in Utica.
