Here's some news on some former college players:
 
The LA Kings yesterday assigned Goaltender Tom Newman (Minn)
to Phoenix of the IHL.
 
The Blues assigned Goaltender Paris Duffus (Yale?) to Peoria of
the IHL.
 
Former N. Michigan defenseman Daniel Ruoho has been impressive
in camp with the Rochester Americans of the AHL (Buffalo affiliate). Goaltender
Bill Pye is also expect to make the Americans this season.
 
And last, but not least, the Rochester D&C reported on the 10 hottest
hockey cards in demand in Canada. #7 is Paul Kariya. #8 is Wayne
Gretzky...
