Just my two cents on the question: What's wrong with Madison?
I don't think things are as bad as some Badger faithful might believe
after going 0-2-2 at home the last two weekends. The biggest problem
(The way I see it) for Wisconsin is that both Michigan Tech and
Minnesota are playing very well right now. Especially MN,(7-1-2 in
their last ten) My impression of Madison is that they are a very solid
team defensively but sometimes don't light it up scoring wise.(An aweful
lot like the Gophers I might add.) I fully expect to see them in St. Paul
Friday March 19 against the Gophers and I even though I am very biased,
I consider
that game to be a toss up. The team that gets the bounces will win.
(North Dakota and CC fans should fry me for this).
A final comment: I think the WCHA playoffs should be very interesting.
The three "Hottest" teams are the #3,4,5 seeds(MN,MTU,NMU) so I really think
that anyone of the top five seeds could bring home the Broadmore Trophy.
Even the Gophers could win it; after all, playing on that crappy ice at
the Target Center has got them ready fot the Civic Center.
