So, could someone please remind why "UAF" or "Alaska" resides in the CCHA
(Central Collegiate Hockey Association, right?), and for that matter, Air
Force moved to Atlantic Hockey? Cheap air fares?

Nobody yet is replacing the "UAF" chant for an "Alaska" Chant at the
hockey or
other sports games. The main campus in Alaska is in Fairbanks so it is
natural
for the Nanooks to be known as the Alaska Nanooks. There is nothing
stopping
Alaska Anchorage from calling themselves Alaska State.
