I watched the first two periods of the game last night, then switched to the
BU-Denver game which was shown on local cable here in Boston. From what I
saw, it appeared that Michigan was having a difficult time with the bigger
ice sheet, both offensively and defensively. How often have they played on
one? I know they have never played at the Whittemore Center at UNH and I'm
guessing for most of these players it was their first trip to Mariucci. I
bring this up because we here at UNH have been told several times that
Michigan will not schedule a home-and-home with us unless the New Hampshire
game is played at the Verizon Center, an AHL rink, in Manchester. After
watching UM last night, I can see why.

Given all that, I was pretty impressed with Minnesota. As usual all their
forwards can fly and for the most part their defense kept Michigan away from
the shooting lanes. And the goaltending was more than adequate.

As for Adam, did no know him in his younger days but why should have his
been any different than anyone elses?
