Official press release from RPI's SID:

MEN'S HOCKEY ADVANCES ON BARR'S OVERTIME GOAL
Engineers down Princeton, 3-2, to sweep first round series

Senior forward Ben Barr scored on a rebound 1:38 into overtime to give
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) a 3-2 come-from-behind win over
Princeton University in game two of a best-of-three first round Eastern
College Athletic Conference (ECAC) playoff series at the Houston Field
House in Troy, N.Y. With the win, the fifth-seeded Engineers improve to
21-13-2 and advance to face fourth-seeded Dartmouth in the best-of-three
second round next weekend. Princeton, the twelfth seed, ends the season
5-24-2, including a 17-game winless streak (0-15-2).

Barr, who had two assists earlier in the game, picked up a rebound of a
Matt McNeely shot and swept it past Princeton netminder Eric Leroux for
the
game-winner. The shot was RPI's fourth of the extra period.

The Engineers trailed, 2-1, until senior defenseman Scott Basiuk scored
on
a slapshot from the right point with just 2:13 remaining in the third
period. Basiuk's goal, which was set up by Barr, deflected off a
Princeton
defender and between the legs of Leroux, who was otherwise
outstanding. Leroux finished the game with 41 saves, including 12 in the
first and second periods and 14 in the third. On the other end, Nathan
Marsters made 18 saves for the win.

Rensselaer junior forward Nick Economakos opened the scoring just 1:28
into
the first period with a snapshot over Leroux. The junior forward, who
had
a goal and two assists on Friday night, took a cross-ice pass from Barr
while streaking down the left side and waited for Leroux to go down on
the
ice before shooting over the goalie.

Tic-tac-toe passing with the Tigers on the power play led to the
game-tying
goal 3:21 into the second period. Sophomore defenseman Seamus Young, who
was at the left point, found an open Sharam Fouladgar-Mercer just
outside
the crease and the senior forward chipped a shot over RPI Marsters.
Steve
Slaton also earned a helper on the goal. Princeton's second power play
goal of the period gave them a 2-1 advantage at 15:43 of the second
period. Sophomore Dustin Sproat put the Tigers in front on a
re-direction
of a Patrick Neundorfer shot from the left point. Matt Maglione also
earned an assist on the goal.
