Note: this is pure brute-force, and takes in no account of tiebreakers or
remaining schedule. I simply added 8 points to each team's current points
to see where they would fall. Highest is highest possible finish; lowest
is lowest possible finish:

Place Team Record Points Highest Lowest
1 Brown 12-4-2 26 1 6
2 Colgate 11-5-2 24 1 7
3 Cornell 10-5-3 23 1 7
        Rensselaer 11-6-1 23 1 7
5 Dartmouth 8-4-6 22 1 8
6 Yale 10-8-0 20 1 11
7 Harvard 8-9-1 17 2 11
8 Clarkson 6-10-2 14 5 12
        St. Lawrence 6-10-2 14 5 12
10 Union 5-10-3 13 6 12
11 Princeton 5-12-1 11 7 12
12 Vermont 4-13-1 9 7 12

The top six teams (Brown, Colgate, Rensselaer, Cornell, Dartmouth and Yale)
can sitll finish first. The top five have locked in home ice for at least
the playin round of the ECAC playoffs, and nobody has a guaranteed
first-round bye yet, although from Clarkson and Saint Lawrence on down, the
teams can't finish in the top four. Nobody is yet in a position where they
can't get home ice.
