If I seed strictly by the numbers, I get
1       Denver
bye
8       cornell
9       michigan

5       BU
12      mercyhurst
bye
4       Minnesota

2       St Cloud
bye
7       Mich State
10      maine

6       CC
11      lowell
bye
3       New Hampshire

it sends cornell and maine west and minnesota and CC east
and the only matchup at the regionals would be lowell vs unh and that
only if lowell upsets CC
