Upon returning home after the game, I rewound the tape and watched the game
to the point of the injury to see exactly what happened. While scrambling in
his crease, Ayers flopped on his back and reached forward with his catching
glove (toward the blue line), at the same time, HIS OWN PLAYER (#5) was
falling forward, his skates were thus propelled toward the goal line. One of
his skates got caught in either the sleeve or the cuff of the goalies
catching glove, and thus, cut Ayers' wrist. It was an unfortunate freak
accident. While Mr. Hache looked shaky at times, to claim he had anything to
do with this incident is absurd. Best of luck to Ayers, he played a marvelous
game to that point, robbing Liscak, Kariya and Shields of some great
opportunities.

Look for a physical game tonight. Keep your head up, Bears.
