I remember a game in the late eighties when RPI was one goal down late in the third period and on a power play.
One of the opponents forwards picked up the puck behind the net and tried to clear it. An RPI defenseman at the point dove
and extended his stick to keep the puck in the zone. Pierre blew the whistle and sent the RPI defenseman off. The call: leaving his feet to play the puck. That's a call I had never heard before or since.
