Senior defensman Darcy Martini, in his first game back from a cracked vertebrae
in his back , blasted a shot from the blue line on the power play, scoring the
first of MTU's 4 unanswered goals in the third period to give the Huskies a
come from behind 6-3 win tonight. Senior Captian Jamie Steer scored the Hat
trick (yes a hat did hit the ice). As the Huskies take a 3 goal lead on the
total goal series to decide the John MacInnes cup awarded annually to the
winner of the winter carnival series. It looked as if Coack Brown told the
team in the locker room between the 2nd and 3rd period to go out and win the
game for John MacInnes, after all you don't dedicate an arena to someone, then
go out and loose the game! Tomorrow's second game tips off at 1:30.
