I was at the SIT once, with the Cornell band, and I remember a lot of pucks
heading out there, too. (far more than at Lynah)  I also seem to remember
that they wanted us to sit on the stage at the end, where there was no net.
We said thanks, but no thanks, and sat in the stands.  Lots of pucks went
over the end and onto the stage, and if you were sitting there, you might
well think it was some kind of organised attack.
 
I think Syracuse's problem is a combination of low glass and no net.
