The schedule does not give Meribel time, it gives EST.  The times as given
are the Eastern times that the games will begin, i.e. 3:15, which is 9:15
in Meribel.  GMT is explained in parentheses as being five hours ahead of
EST for those people in different time zones around the world who want to
be able to convert the times.  The times were not in GMT.
