From the Star Tribune this morning by John Gilbert:

PRIZED HOCKEY RECRUIT BONIN PICKS 'U'
Brian Bonin is considered the top Minnesota high school senior, and might be
the most prized hockey recruit in the country. The 5-9, 175-pound center had
put off his decision through the early-signing period because he wanted to
 evaluate his opportunities.

"The four schools I considered to the end were Minnesota, Harvard, Maine and
Wisconsin," Bonin said. "I visited all four, and I had a blast at all of them.
They're all great places to play hockey. But I came back and watched the games
over the weekend <the MN-Northern Mich series> and I realized how much I
 loved it here."

Bonin plays for the White Bear Lake Bears who are ranked #3 in the Star Tribune
poll. In their last game Bonin assisted on FIVE goals against Burnsville, the
Bears won the game 5-2. He is known for his goal-scoring abilities: he had
116 goals as a pee wee and 132 as a 14 year old bantam.
