Sure it adds some spice to a life. You've had a hard week of school
and work and you're looking forward to a hockey game. You go, and the
other team goes out and you just lay into them and let them know how you
feel about them (in a polite manner). You get a reaction from a player
or coach and you know that you have gotten into their heads. They should
be concentrating on the game but instead they let some remark get to
them. I love to see a goalie from the other team get scored on at BGSU
and watch him skate around to collect his thoughts. He ends up skating
towards section E where Mr. Heckle is there to tell him that he's got so
many openings that he'd make a strainer jealous. I've seen many
goaltenders jaw back at the fans (especially Richard Shulmistra of Miami
and Brent Brekke of Notre Dame) and it just seems to take their minds out
of the game if even just a little bit. I remeber telling Brekke last
year that he'd better study hard as their was no future for him in
hockey. He could have a better future than I do, but it got under his
skin. He yelled at me that he was gonna go out and kick some BG a** and
proceeded to really hurt his team by taking stupid penalties. The
players should be completely focused on the game at hand so when you see
a player react like that, you know that his mind isn't all there and to
me, that has an impact on the game.

Anyways, i'm off to East Lansing tomorrow night and will be attending
the game with Mr. Heckle himself. If anybody on the list wants to come
over and heckle with us, feel free. I'll be wearing a Buffalo Sabres
jersey with Holzinger on the back.
