Release dated March 06, 1995
HOCKEY EAST ALL SPORT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Bob Bell, Providence, Junior, Goaltender.
Mike Prendergast, Boston University, Senior, Forward.
Junior goaltender Bob Bell (North Vancouver, B.C.) represents
one-half of the honored duo as he backstopped the Providence Friars
to a 7-0 shutout of UMass Lowell on the River Hawks' home ice. Bell
was brilliant in the 28-save performance but what was even more
remarkable was the two assists he collected on goals by Stefan
 Brannare and Brady Kramer.
Prendergast, a senior forward from South Boston, Mass., was one of
several players who played well in the Terriers' 10-3 win over
Boston College. The 1992 Beanpot MVP (as a freshman) tallied his
first-ever collegiate hat trick against BC while notching an assist.
Honor Roll:
F Don Chase, Boston College; F Brad Purdie, Maine; G Trent Cavicchi,
New Hampshire; F Jason Melong, Northeastern.

HOCKEY EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jamie O'Leary, Boston College, Freshman, Forward.
The freshman standout earns his second Rookie of the Week honor this
season as he captured his first during the first week of play. In
a 1-1-0 week with games against Merrimack and Boston University,
O'Leary found his most productive night against the Warriors in a
6-4 victory. He notched one goal (shorthanded) and three assists
as BC stormed to a 4-0 lead in the first period and never looked
back. In a 10-3 loss to BU, he added an assist to give him five
 points on the weekend.
Honor Roll:
D Jeff Tory, Maine; G Brian Regan, UMass Amherst; F Eric Nickulas,
New Hampshire.

FINAL REGULAR SEASON HOCKEY EAST STATISTICS (March 06, 1995)
All from the HE release, except I took the penalty numbers and figured
out PIM/game and league ranks in that category, which doesn't appear on
the release.
