This weekend's action at Meehan Auditorium in Providence,RI will
definitely be pretty juicy. Brown and Clarkson, season long first-place
rivals, will go at it on Friday, and then the Bruins will face-off against
St. Lawrence.
In conjunction with this orgy of intense skating action, Brown Hockey and
Sports Information have declared Saturday night's game BANNER NIGHT. The
best banner at Meehan will snag a free pizza party on the University. (I'm
going to assume that these banners are in support of the home team...so it
goes)
In addition, on Friday, the Brown Daily Herlad will be looking for the
loudest group of fans. The best noise-makers will win a free large pizza
and six-pack beverage of their choice from the paper.
The battle for first-place and that coveted automatic bid will be
important to Brown, especially since the Meehan has never had the chance
to hang an ECAC Championship banner. Could this be the year?
