BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY -- Sophomore right wing Curtis Fry extended his
point- streak to eight games (3-12-15) with three assists on Friday and one
assist on Saturday.  Senior center Brian Holzinger had his 13 game point-streak
(13-16-29) snapped in Saturday's non-league loss at Ohio State.
 
FERRIS STATE UNIVERSITY -- Coach Bob Daniels' three-goalie rotation has been
working with a team saves percentage of .885.  Freshman Jeff Blashill is 3-1-1
in five games with a 3.42 gaa and a .884 saves pct.  Sophomore Seth Appert is 1-
2-1 in five games with a 3.19 gaa and a .890 saves pct., while senior Rich Nagy
has a 1-4-0 record in seven appearances with a 4.33 gaa and a .884 saves
percentage.
 
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO -- Junior left wing Rob Hutson has a point in
four of the last five games scoring three goals and four assists for seven
points and a point in 12 of UIC's 15 games.  He has not had a minus game
(plus/minus) since the opening weekend.  He is +12 in his last 13 games.
 
LAKE SUPERIOR STATE UNIVERSITY -- Sophomore netminder Sean Kulick has not
allowed more than three goals in any game this season and has allowed 11 goals
in 318:03 this year for a 2.08 goals- against average with a .911 saves
percentage (113 saves on 124 shots).
 
MIAMI UNIVERSITY -- Freshman blueliner Dan Boyle had a three-game point-streak
snapped in Saturday's 0-0 (OT) deadlock at Notre Dame.  Despite missing the
first four games of the season due to an injury, Boyle is Miami's highest-
scoring defenseman with three goals and five assists for eight points.
 
UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN -- The freshmen class of Robb Gordon (9-12-21), Bill
Muckalt (10-10- 20), Matt Herr (3-2-5), Chris Fox and Marty Turco (11-3-0,
2.82, .886) have been key to Michigan's strong start.  Two of the Wolverines'
top four scorers are sophomores (Brendan Morrison and Jason Botterill).
 
MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY -- Junior defenseman Chris Smith has equalled his
scoring totals of a year ago (6-10-16), and currently has a seven-game point-
streak during which he has scored five goals and added eight assists for 13
points with four power play goals and one game-winning goal.
 
UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME -- Saturday's 0-0 (overtime) tie at home against Miami
was the first ever scoreless game in the history of Notre Dame (and also Miami)
varsity hockey.  Junior netminder Wade Salzman has made 82 saves in 157:27 over
his last three games, while allowing 11 goals.
 
OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY -- Freshman winger Todd Compeau recorded his first
collegiate multiple- goal game in Saturday's 4-3 win over Bowling Green.
Compeau's goal with 2:21 left in the third period snapped a 3-3 tie.  It was
Compeau's second multiple-point game in the last two weekends.
 
WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY -- Junior forward Jamal Mayers has 98 career points
on 31 goals and 67 assists.  Last year when he recorded 49 points on 17 goals
and 32 assists, Mayers had a plus/minus rating of +12, while this year in 17
games he is already +14.
 
UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA FAIRBANKS -- Half of the Nanooks games this year (eight of
16) have been one-goal contests with UAF recording a 4-4 mark in those games.
Four of the eight matches have been at home (3-1) with one being an overtime
victory against Lethbridge, and the other four on the road (1-3).
 
CCHA - DID YOU KNOW? -- That the longest league unbeaten streak ever was set by
Michigan State during the 1989-90 season when the Spartans went 24-0-3.
 
WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP -- Three CCHA players have been named to the United
States National Junior Team which will compete in the 1995 International Ice
Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, December 26-January 4 in Red Deer,
Alberta.  Named by U. S. Coach and current LSSU mentor Jeff Jackson are
goaltender John Grahame (LSSU) and forwards Jon Battaglia (LSSU) and Kevin
Hilton (Michigan).  The only two U. S. collegians named to attend Canada's
national junior team selection camp, which will be held from December 13-19 at
the Edmonton Coliseum, are Michigan forwards Brendan Morrison and Jason
Botterill.  The final roster for Canada will be announced on Sunday, December
18.  United States begins the tournament against Russia on December 26th in
Innisfail and plays Sweden the following day in Red Deer and Canada on December
29th, also in Red Deer.
