For the week ending 11/27/94, from the HE release...

HOCKEY EAST ALL SPORT PLAYER OF THE WEEK
(All Sport sponsors the HE PotW)
Chris O'Sullivan, BU, Sophomore Forward. The Dorchester, Mass.
product has been the Terriers' most consistent player thus far as he
proved in BU's three games this past week. For the week, the
second-year standout tallied three goals and three assists while
helping his team improve its overall record to 7-2-2. O'Sullivan went
2-1--3 in a 6-1 win over Harvard, had a goal and an assist in the 6-2
win over Princeton in the Great Western Freeze-Out, and then collected
an assist in the 6-5 overtime loss to Maine in the Freeze-Out finals.
HONOR ROLL: Paull Botto, UML - went 0-3--3 in helping the River Hawks
claim the Great Alaska Face-Off Tournament; J.F. Aube, Northeastern -
went 3-1--4 in split with Dartmouth and Denver.

HOCKEY EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Scott Fankhouser, UMass-Lowell, Freshman Goalie. Fankhouser was a key
reason why the River Hawks garnered the championship trophy in the
Great Alaska Face-Off Tournament as he spearheaded the 3-2 win over
CCHA member Western Michigan. The Littleton, Colorado resident and
draftee of the St Louis Blues made 26 saves during the win.
Fankhouser was particularly steady on the power play as he pitched a
shutout in nine Western Michigan man-advantage opportunities.

The team notes section includes the following:

In Friday night's 6-2 win over Princeton, BOSTON UNIVERSITY defenseman
Shane Johnson sustained a dislocated shoulder and could miss 4-6
weeks. Left wing Jay Pandolfo continues to be sidelined after
suffering pulled stomach muscles in a pre-season game against New
Brunswick; Pandolfo has yet to play a game this year.

UMASS-AMHERST goalie Dave Kilduff broke a 10-year-old Hockey East
record by making 50 saves against BU on 11/18/94 in a 7-0 loss. The
crowd of 6,218 at the Mullins Center for that game was the largest to
witness a HE game this season.

MERRIMACK, which travels to UMass-Amherst this weekend for a pair, was
the only visiting team to post a win at UMA's Mullins Center last
season in any sport.

NORTHEASTERN defenseman Francois Bouchard, who suffered a slight
concussion in the 9-4 loss to Denver last Friday, underwent further
analysis and was determined to have a first degree separation of the
left shoulder. He will be out at least until the Badger Showdown after
Christmas.
