CCHA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Brian Holzinger, a senior center from
Bowling Green State University, has been selected CCHA Offensive Player of the
Week for his performance the week of October 18-22, 1994.  He played junior
hockey for the Detroit Junior Red Wings (NAJHL) and was a 1991 draftee of
Buffalo.
 
Holzinger, a 5-11, 185-pound native of Parma, Ohio, had nine points (two goals,
seven assists) as the Falcons won all three games.  In Tuesday's win over Ohio
State, he assisted on BG's first and fifth markers.  In Friday's 8-4 win,
Holzinger had one goal and three assists, and followed that with a one goal,
two assists performance on Saturday.
 
CCHA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Mike Buzak, a senior goaltender from
Michigan State University, has been selected CCHA Defensive Player of the Week
for the weekend of October 21-22, 1994.  He played junior hockey for the Fort
Saskatchewan Traders and was drafted in 1993 by the St. Louis Blues.
 
Buzak, a 6-3, 190-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta, stopped 30 of 31 UIC shots
in recording a 4-1 victory on Friday night.  The win was the 50th of his
collegiate career.  He blanked the Flames for the first 46:48 of the contest,
while making 10 and 13 saves in the first and second periods, respectively.
  Last year, Buzak had a 16-7-5 conference record with a 2.62 goals-against
average and a .909 saves percentage in league competition.
