I have to agree with Bill on the fact that it is a big stretch to say that
this could be the year that RPI regains its 1985 Title form... they have a
terrific squad however... the loss of four defensemen will hurt, but with
Senior Al Kummu and All-American candidate sophomore Adam Bartell, they
will have a leg to stand on... there are a few new defensemen in the
freshman class including a talenting young Canadian Patrick Rochan... at
only 17 years of age now, there is still some learning to do...
If they start the year the way they ended it, then they will definitely put
up a fight in the ECAC... at the very least of improvements, they will at
least get a bye in the first round this year... Harvard and Clarkson are
two tough teams, but I think RPI will be ready for them
