I think that this game was a year earlier, in 83-84 when both Puppa and
Jopling were Freshmen. Then again, I wasn't at RPI at the time, and my
sources for such info were much less in those days, so I could be wrong.
I do remember reading about Jopling replacing Puppa with a big deficit
to make up, but I don't recall the opponent. In any case, RPI did beat
UVM on 1/28/84 by 8-5.
