funny how something so hypathetical can spark so much dabate... ;-)
 
in anycase, i realize that i may be spoiled, but i happen to be quite
partial to the two game (friday/saturday/etc) back to back type schedule
that the wcha uses, and think i would like this more then a single game.
i can see however, that on the flip side, if a team knows it only has one
chace at it, they both might put fourth their entire effort for the single
game...this making for perhaps an even MORE exciting game...but i still
just have a gut feeling siding with the two game series...
 
in answer to who pays for the teams to come.  yes, when uaf and uaa were
independents, they payed not only for the teams to come, but for their own
road trips too (and i know uaa still made a good profit... ;-), but i
would ALSO like to know who does the paying now that uaa is in a
league...i'll look into it and see what i can find out for ya...
