Tonight, the "Rage in the Cage" is underway for the last time as the UMass
hoop team played its last game in the Curry Hicks Cage at midnight on ESPN.
The new Mullins Convocation Center is opening on Monday, February 1st.  I
see that the schedule has ESPN scheduled to broadcast from the new
building, which seats about 9400 for basketball and 8500 for hockey, next
Thursday, February 4th, when UMass takes on West Virginia.  I am saying
this because if you want to get a look at what the largest rink in Eastern
college hockey (as of 1993-94) looks like, even though it will be set up
for basketball, this is a great chance and it will be on national tv.
