 Post Graduate

Mike Zak asked about what is a post graduate senior?

Funny you should ask, Mike. Mike Machnik and I have had a couple conversations
about PG. Eastern prep schools would accept students who have graduated from
HS (12th grade) for a Post Graduate study (like a 13th year). Some kids are
late bloomers, or they have screwed around in 9th and 10th grades, and now want
a second chance at getting into good colleges. Often in a PG year students
take courses to reinforce the fundamentals in reading and math, or go on to
more advanced subjects (like calculus). Some schools believe that a PG year
can give students time to reach more maturity.
