Edward quoted from the Boston Globe, in part..

How short-sighted. No doubt in a short time they'll realize that
"Raiders" is a term describing pirate-like people that weren't very nice.
None of my friends would send their kid to such a place! Mmmm just
a second, ..., one of my friends *is* sending their kid to Colgate ...
maybe the Colgate sports nickname didn't enter into their decision?
Maybe they forgot to ask?

But I digress ... maybe Colgate should have just fixed things by
making a little tweak of a change: instead of Red Raiders, they could
call themselves the RAID Arrayers. Who would complain about a
name derived from a computer technology?

How come no one asks me before making these big (lousy) decisions?

cheers, wayne
