Bulldogs sign 5
Three players from Northeastern Minnesota, who signed national
letters of intent with UMD a year ago, renewed those letters
Wednesday during an NCAA early signing period. Two new players also
signed.
Renewing were goalie Adam Coole of Duluth and forwards Josh
Miskovich of Pengilly and Andy Sacchetti of Eveleth. All are in the
U.S. Hockey League.
New signees are Craig Weller, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound defenseman from
Calgary, who plays for Calgary of the Alberta Junior Hockey League,
and Jerrid Reinholz, a 5-11, 180-pound forward from Ramsey, Minn.,
who is with Des Moines (Iowa) in the USHL.
Coole, who plays for Rochester (Minn.), leads the USHL with a .935
save percentage and has a 2.20 goals against average; Sacchetti has
three goals and four assists for seven points in 13 games with
Rochester; Miskovich has one goal in 10 games with Omaha (Neb.); and
Reinholz has five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 14 games.
