An article in the Gazette Telegraph said that he was taken to the
hospital, checked out and released the same evening, complaining of neck
pain. From ten rows away, the hit looked pretty clean. If anything, it
did look like Rass was looking for someone to hit after having been
taken down a moment earlier behind the net. But when it came to the hit
itself, there didn't appear to be anything cheap about it. The injury
was likely the result of an awkward smack of his head into the boards as
a result of the very violent collision.
