Yes.  Here's a quick thumbnail history:
 
Until Cazzie Russell came along in the mid-1960s, most indoor
athletics (basketball, wrestling, track, football practice) took place in
Yost Field House.  After the success Cazzie brought the basketball team,
Crisler Arena was built (AKA "The House That Cazzie Built") in the late
1960s.
 
In 1973, Yost was converted to an ice arena and the hockey team moved in
from the Coliseum.  The front of Yost is still engraved "YOST FIELD HOVSE".
 
And, yes, those are the original (circa 1920s) seats along the side lines
(the wood ones) that aren't being affected by the current renovation
(though we've lost a number in the reconfiguration).
