If you have opinions as to appropriateness of postings, please send
those opinions to the administrator, not the list.  There are too many
members of this list for everyone to express their opinion as to what is
appropriate, and what is not, *to the list*.
 
You may be assured that I have been very busy for the past week or 10
days with posters that have made inappropriate postings, and I prefer to
continue that sort of thing off-line.
 
Although the hand-shaking request might have been somewhat off the wall,
I found it appropriate and in fact we had a couple of very thoughtful
replies to it, including an excellent posting from Charlie Shub.
 
I don't find flames, subscription requests and degrading remarks
appropriate.
