One of the things I liked the most about the Garden was intimate
feeling of the building. Everytime I went there it seemed that you
got to know the people around even if they were complete strangers. I
am glad to hear that the architects tried to make sure that the New
Boston Garden tries to mimic this intimacy.

The most memorable experience was from the 1991 Beanpot where I was
able to get a press pass. I got to watch the game and shoot pictures.
I ended up being one of those people that got to run around the ice
taking pictures. I got some of my better shots from that series. I
was also cheering for BU and was psyched to see them win.

Things I won't miss from the Boston Garden are first obstructed view
seats. God I hated these. There is a Budweiser billboard by the
Garden that says "Thanks for the memories" and a picture of the three
seats. The middle one with a support column right in front of it.
What ever possesed people to place seats this way is beyond me.

The second thing I won't miss are all those stairs and the convoluted
paths I had to take to get to my seats. At times it felt like I had
walked up enough stairs that I would see St. Peter welcoming into
heaven. It seemed that the hallways were designed to make you miss
the twisting and turning streets of Boston.
