RE: Maine alumni game
 
By most Universities' definition, an alum does not have to be a
graduate.
Some schools call *anyone* who takes a single class an alum, while others
require the equivalent of 2-3 years of course work. Very few actually
require that piece of paper to qualify.
 
Even those students who transfer to another school retain alumni status
at their original school. Alumni status is more a state-of-mind than a
degree.
