  Colorado College defensive stalwart David Paxton, who led his team in
take-outs, broke up numerous rushes, blocked several shots, earned a +3
rating and even contributed one goal and two assists to the Tigers' weekend
sweep of visiting Michigan Tech Feb. 25-26, has been chosen as WCHA Defensive
Player of the Week for Feb. 27.
 
  University of Minnesota centerman Brian Bonin, who came through with a
five-point weekend against visiting North Dakota and moved into the overall
scoring lead in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association with 50 points,
has been selected as the WCHA Offensive Player of the Week for Feb. 27.
