I've been reading a lot about how childish, unprofesional, etc. that
players and especially goalis can be. I think everyone should remeber that
these guys and gals are not professional and are not there to entertain
you, they are there to have fun playing their favorite game. They work
incredibly hard, long hours, study and take classes all day and so on. If
some of them are a littly crazy or do things you can't understand or agree
with, you should know that they probably woudn't and couldn't live the way
you live. As far as antics on the ice, from the stuff I've seen, generally
it is just an extension of the players life. Some players are hard nosed,
tuff people, some are flamboyant extroverts and there is just about
everything in between. If you can't understand that, then I don't know
what to tell you. Enjoy the diversity of the game, the fans, the players
and the coaches, without this diversity the game and life is pretty damn
dull.
Flame on.
