All hell broke loose at about ten minutes of the third period. The ND
goalie, Eisler, came out almost to the blue line to clear the puck. After
he did an OSU player checked him rather hard, Eisler literally went head
over heels onto the ice. The ND trainer came out to check on Eisler. Then a
melee started that lasted about 15 minutes. It was funny watching the ND
trainer on the ice taking it all in. Several times about 8 players were in
a giant pushing contest with the linesmen in the middle. When the penalties
were finally sorted out they were even. Each team received three double
minors and 10 min misconducts, one 5 min fighting and game misconduct.
There were so many penalties that the linesmen got behind the scorers table
to sort it out, then handed the teams a paper with the penalties listed.
After that was done players on both sides started acting stupid and some
more double minors and 5 min penalties were handed out.

That was the most fighting I have seen in 7 years of watching college hockey.

Too bad I can't be at the game Saturday night.
