A few months ago someone on this list suggested that the level
of penalty calling should be independent of the period of the
game and time of the season, and should not change during overtime
or during tournament play.  I thought the BU/NMU match was well-
officiated, to include the non-officiating during the overtime
periods.  There were a half dozen penalties that in another place
at another time most refs would have called.  The game was decided
by the players, and that is how it should be.  Nothing was so
blatant that it HAD to be called to maintain the integrity of the
game.
