Which teams did MSU play outside of league play? I understand that
outside games had something to do with the selections/seeding???
While Northern had a shaky start and did not play well during the
first half of the year, the second half saw us defeat all of the
league leaders, a tribute to hard work on the part of some very
talented hockey players.  Speaking of defeats, one of the teams that
Northern defeated was MSU.  If selections came down to teams
played outside of the league schedule and State was a consideration
with Northern, perhaps State's loss to NMU had something to do with
the final selection.  at least it is a better excuse than "State was
shafted"........
