Congrats to Miami on their first trip ever to the Joe. Last year, Ferris
made its first trip there, now Miami. I do believe that the current 9
members have now all made an appearance there. Next year, Kent....

A season of close games: Bowling Green played in a school record 11 overtime
games and 20 of their 34 contests were decided by one goal or less and two
additional games were decided by one goal plus an empty-net marker.

their final 21 games of the season (including two playoff losses at MSU).

holders Jason Muzzatti and Norm Foster of Michigan State.
Miami's Savage ends second shortest Playoff OT game: Redskin sophomore Brian
Savage scored 1:07 into overtime Saturday to clinch Miami's first ever
appearance in the CCHA Championships. The shortest playoff overtime game in
CCHA history lasted 0:40 in 1985 as OSU's Bruce Tillotson scored at WMU.
Felsner continues scoring barrage: Michigan senior Denny Felsner had seven
points (five goals, two assists) in the Wolverines sweep of Ohio State to
raise his season totals to 39 goals and 48 assists for 87 points (tops in the
nation) in 40 games.
MSU's Norris two goals from 100: Spartan senior Dwayne Norris scored a
shorthanded goal in Saturday's win over Ferris State to raise his career goal
total to 98 tying him for seventh place with Mark Hamway (1979-83).
OSU's Loney finishes strong: Buckeye freshman Brian Loney finished the
regular season with a six-game point streak scoring three goals and adding 11

Quarterfinal sweep streak continues: For the third straight season all four
quarterfinal series were sweeps with one exception coming this year. Miami, a
visiting team, came away with a pair of wins. The last visiting team to win
in the CCHA first round was Bowling Green in 1989 when they won the decisive
third game in triple overtime at Michigan on a Rob Blake goal.
Records at The Joe: Michigan State has the best winning percentage of any
CCHA school when considering CCHA playoff games held at Joe Louis Arena. MSU
is 16-2 (.889), Lake Superior (6-6), Ohio State (4-4), Michigan (2-2) and next
