Okay, for crying out loud, Larry, you have to learn how to quote
people's emails non-deceptively. You just replied to two replies to
your message, quoting *your* *own* *message* and making it look like
Ben and Ralph had said it. And to top it off, you didn't even include
a word of their replies in your re-reply. Are you trying to be
dishonest, or are you really that clueless?
So if I caused you to cry out loud in Ithaca-you nevertheless summoned up the
intellectual ability to discern the message. As I see it, for those bemoaning
the harsh injustice being foisted on RPI et al. there is an alternative. Open
up the silly "Ivy League" to like minded institutions. It seems that other
than ridiculous and preposterous and some personal attacks on me for having an
opinion not shared by my colleagues; I have yet to see a reasoned or cogent
response. The real reason is that this cartel posing as an athletic league knows
the brand name is worth the equivalent of billions and heaven forbid if the
likes of an RPI or Colgate or STLawrence or Clarkson were to be admitted. The
free association argument has been used to justify restricted country clubs for
years. Notice I said like minded institutions. Amazing I draw more ire from
the ancient 8 than a Columbia Prof who is rooting for the death of American
soldiers-only in America!
