Just back from Boston, where Union's late-season slide continued
Saturday night, with a 4-0 Harvard win.  The final score doesn't
indicate how close this one was, as Union was down only 1-0 after two
and really played well until that point.  They had plenty of chances,
especially in the second as they built a big shot advantage.  Brandon
Snee kept it a one-goal game for Union late in the second when a
Harvard player gathered a rebound just outside the crease when he was
down on the ice.  The Harvard player tried to lift the puck over Snee,
but he made the save, with what looked like his right pad, stuck up
into the air from the ice.

Harvard really stepped up the offensive pressure in the third,
finally putting a second goal past Snee over half way through the
period.  Kevin Sneddon pulled Snee with well over two minutes left and
the move backfired as Harvard added an empty-netter then one more
after Snee was put back in.

Harvard makes a big move and how sits in a second-place tie with
Dartmouth and Clarkson, while Union finds itself stuck on 17 points at
7-10-3 in the league, in 9th.  What was a chance at home ice a couple
weeks ago is now a struggle to hold onto a playoff spot.  Yale and
St. Lawrence at tied for the 10th and final playoff spot, just one
point behind Union.

Colgate and Cornell visit Achilles to close out the regular season
next week.
