What if the school releases you from the LOI, do you still have to sit out
the year??

one-year period.  If you change your mind, you have to sit out another year
before being able to play at another school.  So any player who signed this
November for the 2002-03 season, could change their mind, but would not be
able to suit up for another school until 2003-04.
