OMICIOLI RECORDS THREE-POINT GAME...Drew Omicioli (West Warwick, R.I.)
tallied one goal and two assists in the Friars 3-3 tie at UMass-Lowell on
January 27.  This season, Omicioli has recorded eight multiple-point games
and 16 in his career.  Including five multiple-points games in the last
seven contests.  In 20 games this season, Omicioli has tallied eight goals
and 13 assists.

ZINGONI NETS FIRST COLLEGIATE GOAL...Peter Zingoni (Newtown, Conn.) tallied
his first career goal and added an assist in the Friars' 3-3 tie at
UMass-Lowell on January 27.  This season, Zingoni has notched one goal and
four assists in 13 games.

FRIARS TIE UMASS-LOWELL...The Friars' record stands at 13-7-4 after a 3-3
tie at UMass-Lowell on January 27.  Drew Omicioli paced the Friars' offense
with one goal and two assists.  Peter Zingoni (Newtown, Conn.) recorded his
first collegiate goal and dished out one assist.  Senior Heath Gordon
(Pembroke, Mass.) tallied the game-tying goal.  Boyd Ballard (Weyburn,
Saskatchewan) stopped 31 shots for the Friars.

GORDON NOTCHES GAME-TYING GOAL...Senior Heath Gordon tallied one goal in
PC's 3-3 tie at UMass-Lowell on January 27. The tally was Gordon's first
goal of the season and also his first since last season's HOCKEY EAST
Quarterfinal game at Maine on March 10.  In 85 career games, he has
recorded 14 goals and 15 assists.

HOME AND AWAY...This season the Friars have posted an impressive 9-3-1
record at Schneider Arena.  Away from Schneider Arena, the Friars have
recorded a 4-4-3 mark.

OVERTIME GAMES...On January 27, the Friars played in their fourth overtime
contest of the season.  The Friars are 0-0-4 in overtime games this
season.  On  October 28, PC tied Boston University (4-4), Colorado College
(1-1) on November 24, Denver (3-3) on November 25 and UMass-Lowell (3-3) on
January 27.

THREE OR MORE...This season the Friars are undefeated (12-0-3) when they
score three or more goals.

  Next FOR the FRIARS... The Friars will travel to Northeastern on February
2 and will host Merrimack on February 3.

THE Providence-Northeastern ALL-TIME Series...Friday's game will be the
110th meeting between the two schools.  Providence leads the all-time
series 67-35-7.  The two teams first met on December 22, 1953 with
Northeastern defeating Providence, 5-4, in overtime at the Boston
Garden.  PC's last win against the Huskies was a 4-2 victory on November 18
at Matthews Arena.  The last time PC was defeated by Northeastern, the
Friars dropped a 6-5 overtime decision on March 7, 1999 at Matthews Arena.

NORTHEASTERN vs. PC AT MATTHEWS ARENA... Since 1957, the Friars have posted
a 31-18-4 mark against the Huskies at Matthews Arena.  In the Friars' last
game at Matthews Arena, the Friars defeated NU, 4-2, on November 18,
2000.  PC's last loss at Matthews Arena was a 6-5 overtime loss on March 7,
1999.

THIS SEASON VS. NORTHEASTERN...PC posted a  3-1 win over Northeastern on
November 17 at Schneider Arena and a 4-2 victory versus the Huskies at
Matthews Arena  on November 18.  On November 17, the Friars captured their
fourth consecutive win over Northeastern as junior Peter Fregoe scored two
goals to lead the Friars' offense.  Senior J.J. Picinic netted the
game-winner for PC.  Sophomore Nolan Schaefer  recorded 28 saves in the
win.  On November 18, senior Marc Suderman  tallied two goals in the final
14 seconds to lead the Friars to a 4-2 win at Northeastern.  Suderman also
added two assists on the evening.  Picinic scored his sixth and seventh
goals of the season and added two assists for the Friars.  Boyd Ballard
stopped 39 shots for his second win of the season.

THE PROVIDENCE-MERRIMACK SERIES... Saturday's game will be the 80th meeting
between the two schools.  Providence College holds a 61-16-2 lead in its
series against Merrimack.  In the most recent meeting between the two
teams, PC defeated Merrimack, 7-3, at the Volpe Complex on December 2,
2000.  PC's last loss against the Warriors was a 4-1 defeat at Schneider
Arena on December 1, 2000.  The two teams first met on February 13, 1960
with PC defeating Merrimack, 7-1, at the Billerica Forum.

AT SCHNEIDER ARENA... The Friars have posted 22-8-1 record against the
Warriors at Schneider Arena.  PC won the first meeting between the two
schools at Schneider Arena, 4-2, on Jan. 20, 1973.  The Friars' last win
against Merrimack at Schneider Arena was a 4-1  victory on December 3,
1999.  The last time Merrimack defeated PC at Schneider Arena was December
1, 2000 (4-1).  PC is 14-3 in its last 17 games against the Warriors.

THIS SEASON VS. MERRIMACK...The Friars were dealt a 4-1 loss to Merrimack
on December 1 at Schneider Arena and earned a 7-3 win at Merrimack on
December 2.  On December 1, the Friars lost their first home contest of the
season against the Warriors  Senior Jay Leach  netted the Friars' lone
goal, assisted by junior Marc Suderman  and senior Matt Libby.  Sophomore
Nolan Schaefer recorded 20 saves for PC.  On December 2, the Friars
recorded their eighth win of the season, 7-3, at Merrimack's Volpe
Complex.  Five Friars registered multiple-points in the victory.  Libby led
the Friars with two goals and two assists. Senior Adam Lee recorded two
goals and one assists, while Devin Rask added four assists to help pace the
Friars.  Freshmen Regan Kelly and Jonathan Goodwin each notched their first
collegiate goals.  Sophomore Jon DiSalvatore tallied one goal and two
assists in the Friars' victory.  Boyd Ballard stopped 29  shots in the win.
