The Division I College Hockey Record Manual (published in 1990 and
unfortunately out of print) credits one Dick Rondeau of Dartmouth with
scoring *nine* goals in one period against Middlebury on February 8, 1944.
This must have been quite a game... according to the Manual, the Dartmouth
team scored a record 30 goals, and Rondeau's performance in the game shows
up in three other places: most assists in a game (11), most points in a
period (12), and most points in a game (23).
