MUZERALL INVITED TO CANADIAN HOCKEY ASSOCIATION SUMMER CAMP
Minnesota senior forward Nadine Muzerall has been invited to the Canadian
Hockey Association summer camp, Aug. 13-21, in Calgary, Alberta, joining a
group 41 other players.
The camp roster is made up of 13 silver medallists from the 1998 Winter
Olympics in Nagano, Japan, and 18 members of the gold medal 2000 Women's
World Championship team.
The CHA is used for evaluating players who will represent Canada at
international tournaments in 2000-2001, including the 2001 IIHF Women's
World Championships, to be held in Minneapolis.
Muzerall is the only Western Collegiate Hockey Association-Women's League
player invited to the camp. Last season, she led the Gophers to the American
Women's College Hockey Alliance National Championship, leading the nation in
goals (49), power-play goals (16) and game-winning goals (9). She was a
first-team All-WCHA and AWCHA all-tournament selection.
