speculated in this morning's paper that Gophers jr. forward
Dave Spehar may transfer to Minnesota-Duluth after this year
if the Gophers coaching staff remains as is. Spehar, who is
a native of Duluth, was held out of Friday night's game at CC,
which is the first time he has been held out since his arrival
at Minnesota 3 yrs ago. He has not played well this year, scoring
only a handful of goals, mainly on the power play. It would be
interesting how the Duluth crowd would accept him should he
transfer up there, as many in the Duluth crowd have been hostile
towards him  ("Spehar SUCKS, Spehar SUCKS!") every time
the Gophers have travelled up to the DECC.
